Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp minced fresh parsley
  • 1 packet of Quick Rising Yeast
  • 2 cups Baking Mixture (See Baking Mixture Below)

Baking Mixture:

  • 4 cups Fairhaven Mill Organic All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

*Save remaining baking mixture for more batches*

PRO TIP: To speed up rising time of dough: place in preheated oven at 200 degrees for 1-2 minutes covered with a towel.

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Slightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Prepare baking mix by combining flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Add milk and baking mix; mix well until a dough forms.
  4. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for 6 minutes or until dough is smooth. Slightly Add flour as needed to lessen stickiness of dough. Pat dough into a 1/2 inch thick rectangle.
  5. Cut dough into rounds using a biscuit cutter or the top of a drinking glass. *knead remaining dough and repeat cutting process until dough is gone*
  6. Place dough rounds on baking sheet. Let dough rounds rise in a warm place for 20 minutes or until doubled in size.
  7. Garlic-Parsley Spread: Mix butter, garlic, and parsley in small bowl. Brush over top of rolls.
  8. Bake for 8 minutes or until golden brown.

Happy Baking!
