Today we are sharing a Gingerbread recipe from Antique Sandwich Co located in Tacoma, Washington! This timeless treat combines aromatic spices & molasses to create a delicious dessert that is perfect for the holiday season!
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 cups molasses
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 1/8 cup canola oil or avocado oil
- 4 ½ cups Fairhaven Mill Organic Pastry Flour
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 ½ tbsp baking powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 4 egg whites, whipped
Directions:
- With a wire whip, combine egg yolks, molasses, warm water, & oil. Mix well.
- Add flour, cinnamon, ginger, mustard powder, cloves, baking powder, & baking soda. Mix until smooth.
- Add egg whipped eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Pour into an oiled baking pan
- Bake at 350° F for 40 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted in the center and comes out clean
