Filling & Assembly
Ingredients
-
½–¾ cup thick pizza sauce (120–180 g)
-
¾–1 cup shredded mozzarella (85–115 g)
-
½ cup chopped pepperoni (55–70 g)
-
2 tbsp melted butter (28 g)
-
½ tsp garlic powder or Italian seasoning (1–2 g)
-
Optional topping:
-
Extra mozzarella (30–40 g) or grated parmesan (15–20 g)
-
Assembly & Baking
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
-
Divide risen dough into 12–16 equal pieces (about golf-ball sized).
-
Flatten each piece slightly. Add ½–1 teaspoon pizza sauce, a pinch of mozzarella, and a few pieces of pepperoni.
-
Pinch edges tightly to seal and roll into a smooth ball.
-
Brush dough balls lightly with butter, garlic powder, & Italian seasoning mixture.
-
Arrange dough balls in a single layer in the prepared pan, leaving small gaps between pieces. Let rise for an additional 30 minutes. Sprinkle lightly with additional cheese, if desired.
-
Bake 25–30 minutes, until golden on top and cooked through. If browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
-
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Happy Baking!
